Mayor Clary opened the meeting; roll call was taken by the Clerk: Council members present were Jimmy Brown, Gary Ventress and Kim Hill, with Diane Berg absent.
Mayor Clary opened the 2011-12 Budget Public Hearing with a motion by Councilman Brown, seconded by Councilwoman Hill and a vote of aye by all. The only resident who wanted to discuss/comment on the budget was Phyllis Brown, who wanted $20,000 or a line of credit for the old Civic Center now known as the Woolen Brown Building. Discussion
Councilwoman Hill moved to close the hearing, seconded by Councilman Ventress and a roll call vote was taken; Councilmembers Hill Ventress and Brown all voting aye.
Mayor Clary read the title paragraph of the proposed 2011-12 Budget ordinance, Councilman Ventress moved to suspend the three reading rule, seconded by Councilwoman Hill and a roll call vote was taken, Councilmembers Hill, Ventress and Brown all voting aye. Councilwoman Hill moved to adopt Budget ordinance #547, seconded by Councilman Ventress and a roll call vote was taken, Council members Brown, Ventress and Hill all voting aye.
Councilman Ventress moved to close the meeting, seconded by Councilman Brown and a vote of aye by all. Mayor Clary adjourned the meeting at approximately 7:15pm.
