Public Hearing

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011, 6:30 PM

Spirit Lake City Hall

Chairperson Becki Gaddum called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.  Roll call was taken with members Sherry Schroeder, Bonnie Berscheid, Karl Harmon, and Zac Neu present.  Members John DeBernardi and Terry Robinson were absent.

Chairperson Becki Gaddum opened the Public Hearing for a Conditional Use Permit Application made by the First Lutheran Church, at 6:30 PM.  The Application is to build a new church on the existing property at 6075 W. Jefferson.  Donna Phillips was present and spoke briefly in favor of the permit.  No property owners attended the hearing.  Public hearing closed at 6:40.

Board member Sherri Schroeder motioned to approve minutes from the August meeting with a second from Board member Bonnie Berscheid followed by a vote of aye by all.

Chairperson Becki Gaddum motioned to approve the Conditional Use Permit with a second from Board member Schroeder.  A roll call vote was taken with a vote of aye from Board members Harmon, Berscheid, Gaddum, Neu and Schroeder.  Said permit will now go in front of City Council on October 11, 2011.

Chairperson Gaddum motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 pm with a second from Board member Schroeder.
